Welcoming & Toddler Friendly - A recipe that welcomes all to the kitchen for a simple, low-ingredient recipe full of flavor!

This whipped cream is so delicious and quick to make! Perfect for a topping on hot chocolate, crepes, pancakes, and more!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup cold, heavy whipping cream

  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

PROCESS:

  • Use the whisk attachment.

  • Measure and add all the ingredients into your bowl and whisk away!
*Toddlers can either pour the pre-measured ingredients into the bowl or they can start off by measuring out the ingredients to learn the mathematical component of baking!*
*Whisking takes practice and a lot of trust from the parent. Mine can hold the whisk with mama's hawk eyes watching and explaining what to touch and what not to touch!*

  • Whisk until you have formed still peaks!
*Stiff peaks occurs when you lift up your mixer and the cream mixture stays standing
Soft peaks occurs when you lift up your mixer and the cream mixture tip bends
Over Mixing will lead to more of a curdled, cottage cheese consistency!*

VARIATIONS:

  • The 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract can be swapped for another extract of choice! Depending on the flavor profile, you can even go with a thicker paste or spread - think nut butter, chocolate spread, cookie butter!

  • Why stop there? A powdered flavor would work lovely such as cocoa powder!

NOTE:

  • I personally would not use this whipped cream on a cake, cupcakes or desserts to sell or to decorate with as I find it is not as stable!

  • Please check out my other blog post, Stabilized Whipped Cream Frosting for that recipe!
